I’ve seen many posts on radically cutting sugar and crash dieting. While I understand the intention, this can be harmful ⤵️
I’m a Family Medicine Specialist with an interest in Lifestyle Medicine 👨🏻⚕️
1/ Sudden, rapid weight loss isn’t a good sign. You may become malnourished
2/ You may lose lean body mass which affects bone and muscle strength
3/ You could get anaemia, headaches, gut problems
4/ You could experience intolerable sugar withdrawal - fainty, dizzy and agitated
