I dance alone in the rain tonight,
spinning around
in the pale streetlight.
My laughter echoes,
sharp and loud,
like the cry of a long-forgotten child.
The puddles splash,
the thunder claps,
and I just laugh
at the world’s collapse.
The phantoms watch,
a silent guest,
like my madness I’ve tried to suppress.
Lightning flashes,
I sway,
I bow,
a queen of chaos, reigning now.
I look to the sky,
my soaked parade,
a standing ovation in the mess I’ve made.
