There are obvious signs that the government here is corrupt but the people here think that voting blue is preventing some fascist dictatorship from taking over so it doesn’t matter. The people in power love that they get a vote simply for not attacking your progressive ideals. Meanwhile you are being taxed out the ass and getting parking violations on Christmas Day, it’s a bureaucratic nightmare and yet nothing changes. Anything people could envy about Los Angeles sailed away years ago.
