my sewing professor in college taught us that sometimes learning to sew means learning to fix what you've messed up without picking out the stitches and starting over lol

Another one of mine: people who sew can be really rigid about techniques—it’s very much so “it’s my way or you’re wrong”. As @sewingmystyle told me a couple years ago mid-meltdown, we aren’t rocket scientists or curing cancer. This is art and there’s plenty of ways to create.
