I think it depends on whether or not your poems compliment theirs, or if it’s just competitive reply’s. Like any art, the purpose is to send a message to the reader/viewer. All artists want to feel that their message was impactful in some way. Showing a fellow artist some acknowledgment or constructive criticism is valuable feedback
