People fail to realize that a large, large number of Los Angeles residents could not afford to buy the house they live in if it were on the market today. I bought my home in LA in 2018. In 2023, I sold it for a price I could not afford to pay. That was only 4.5 years. Imagine the people that bought their homes 40+ years ago. So many people have never moved because they couldn’t afford to stay in their hometowns if they did. Now thousands of them have nothing left and no way to start over.
