On Monday, I got a text from my 82 year old mom telling me that she was stopping all of her meds and going on hospice. Tuesday I went to see her and say goodbye. In the midst of all of this, her 2 biological kids (the rest of us are adopted) are pushing everyone else out. I'm hurt. I'm devastated. How can someone be so petty? She may have been your mom first, but she has been our mom for 40 YEARS.

I was good for the money but not for any decision making. She died a year ago. I did not go to her funeral. I watched the mass for her and said my good bye. Every “family” is fucked in some way. Just know you are not alone. Even if you can’t see her or say goodbye she will send you a message from the other side
