I grew 1M on TikTok within the first year it came out. Am I going to be sad about the TikTok ban? Yes. Have I also been preparing for it by starting a YouTube, posting more on Threads and beefing up my portfolio in general? Absolutely. I never got the hate on the app; it legitimately allowed me to pay rent every month and eased my stress as I moved to being a full-time creator back in 2022.
