Empathy now a days is nothing more than performative activism. They love to be a good person online. They love to post about how their heart ACHES for LA. But they don’t care. They don’t keep that same energy offline. They just pat themselves on the back and tell themselves, “I’m a good person! Absolutely disturbing. But my question is whether it’s society at large or the people who feel the need to spew poison on social media. Are these comments a thing in real life? Genuinely asking other’s experiences, because I may just have too small of a social circle to know.

There were people saying that they wouldn’t donate or help Florida in the case of a hurricane because of the election results. But yet people here in Florida are helping Cali. People were wishing natural disaster and refusing to help bc of a vote? SMH do better. We should help eachother
