I think the mindset of, “I shouldn’t have to teach another person how to love me,” is detrimental to relationships. You will have to teach someone something and there is nothing wrong with that. People would rather live without their desires handled, or give up on good people rather than teach them a thing or 2, speaking aside from trauma.
