People still need to heat their houses in Canada. Taxing a people to heat their homes in a country where we absorb more carbon than we produce is criminal while other countries have no regulation at all. It's a cash grab which does nothing but raise inflation and fill government coffers so they can mis-spend it. Selling our natural resources like our natural gas to displace less efficient and environmentally friendly forms of energy is a win-win.

So, taxes don’t change the temperature outside or reduce carbon emissions. The largest producers of carbon emissions are not in Canada, they are in countries where they burn dirty coal (yes, there is different grades of coal). If Canada was to supply these countries with clean burning LNG it would reduce the the carbon emissions world wide. This is Pierre’s plan. Site note, one of the largest producers of co2 is forest fires. Forest management is essential.
