I am super happy to have an LLM write code for me because I always kind of saw it as a means to an end anyway. But I know people who spent decades learning as many coding languages as possible just for the sake of it and I can understand why they feel really mad about it. Maybe people felt the same when the sewing machine was invented, like why the hell did I spend so much time learning something a machine can do for me?? Couldn't you have invented that 20 years ago??
