Wedding (venue) coordinator: serves the interest of the venue. Wedding planner: is there for YOU. When I ask my couples if they have a wedding planner and they say, "yeah, our venue is giving us a day of coordinator!" it makes my eye twitch. Don't get me wrong, there's some fantastic venue coordinators, but wedding planners are the real deal and will go above and beyond.
