Heading back to New Zealand in a few weeks but this time to the South Island. Most of the time I’ll be in Christchurch but plan on doing some driving around the first 3 days. Suggestions for food, sights, etc?! New Zealand travel

2 小時內	Ian Timperley bignin	Banks Pennisular and Akaroa are beautiful. Drive to the Southern Alps (Arthurs Pass for instance). Great tramping and views, and Kea.

12 小時內	Ciarán Farmer cpaf	Start in Christchurch. Lots of eateries in the city centre in and around the riverside markets. Make your way to Akaroa. Stunning over there. Head south and experience the Jurassic coast just north of Dunedin. Go down and up to Milford sounds and Fiordland. Come at queenstown from the south and see all its beauty and attractions. Then on to wanaka and over to the west coast. Frank Joseph glacier is a must. Up the coast to Abel Tasman and the trails, beaches and sun before coming back to chch.
