i never share my work but here we go
he came and went like summer rain,
warm drops that kissed my face in vain.
his laughter bright, his smile aglow,
a fleeting warmth I’ll always know.
but when he left, the chill crept in,
a hollow ache beneath my skin.
the sky turned gray, the light grew dim,
a world less vivid without him.
his joy, a fire, now but a trace,
still lingers faint in empty space.
he came and went, a brief refrain,
like fleeting drops of summer rain.
