One of the biggest surprises 2024 has given me is Jane Eyre. I had to read it for my degree, and although I was skeptical at first, it completely changed my perspective on Victorian literature, love, life, and feminism. Without a doubt, it's one of the greatest masterpieces ever created. As I reread some passages, I find myself becoming more and more connected to the writing. In conclusion, READ JANE EYRE. You won’t be disappointed.

Somewhere I referenced Jane Eyre in conversation and he had never heard of it. It’s my favorite classical literature piece, my heart may have cracked. That was a learning moment for me though of trying not to be judgmental. In my head, Jane Eyre could start on a Middle or High School’s required reading list but maybe that wasn’t in his or his school’s priority list.
