according to the modern shafi'i view maghrib is over within the mins you are able to give the adhan, make wudu, give the iqamah, and pray five rakat (3+2(nafl)). basically 15-20mins. but the more correct view is the old view of Imam shafi'i that maghrib goes out once the redness in the sky disappears.
