Let me devils advocate here, I understand what you mean. But here is the dilemma, if people gets houses for free, what about the millions who are paying for it. It creates an imbalance in philosophy. Meaning, if you dont work, you will get a home for free. I have seen a lot of healthy working people live off social welfare growing up. If give we homeless people houses, we should also give people houses for free. Someone has to pay for the management and you know that we will be taxed for it.

So many people in these comments have zero empathy. They see *anything* that is sympathetic to the thousands of homeless people here and instantly you’re just a commie🤦‍♀️It is nearly impossible to “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” and get a house once you’ve become homeless, especially with no support system. *Everyone* deserves the most basic human necessities-Food, shelter, water.

I want you to imagine the one thing that you love to do more than anything else, and it doesn’t matter where you are, who your with, or how it’s perceived by others. This is your passion, your release from all the pain, anxiety, and stress. You are guaranteed pure happiness, every single time. Now imagine if someone told you that they can improve your life substantially outside of that activity so long as you give up your most favorite thing in this world.
