Let me explain blockchain in simple terms as a non-tech tradfi. Bitcoin removes the middlemen between people when transferring assets, but it is limited to transferring only Bitcoin. Ethereum takes the concept further by allowing any kind of asset or data to be transferred on the blockchain. More importantly, it also allows programs to run on the blockchain transparently.
