Reminds me of a date I had a while ago (summer 2024): We met at this iltalian restaurant which seemed to be his place2be because he was bantering with the waiter when we arrived to get a better table. When it was time to pay he insisted on paying even his phone was empty and he couldn’t use ApplePay. So I stepped in and offered to just pay (I already had my phone in my hand, so no prob at all). Hi insisted on inviting me, like very loudly so everyone (incl. his waiter „friend“) could hear. 1/2
