When ADHD gets the best of us or our kids, things can escalate quickly. One simple tool I use with my son to help manage those overwhelming moments is the POWER OF PAUSE.
Before answering a question or reacting in a stressful situation, we take a quick pause. He counts to three before responding, giving his brain a chance to slow down and think about what’s next. It’s simple, but it really makes a difference.
