As an elementary assistant principal I truly believe that behaviors are a lack of a social skill/cry for help. Discipline should always come with a learning opportunity, a strategy, and the opportunity to apply the learning. We need to get to the root cause know the WHOLE child. No child ever wakes up says “ima be bad today”. Most behaviors are triggers, trauma, abuse or neglect. Be that TRUSTED adult 🫶🏽 Drop any resources for learning opportunities whether they be books, videos, activities, etc.
