Rough couple of weeks. I am from the St. John Valley of Maine. Which is a very special place in ways that most of the US cannot really even grasp. That is fine of course. But here. Most days. Most folks earn their living in ways that are dangerous. If you have a job where your work day keeps you warm, and dry, and safe, you are doing ok. My Dad was a school teacher. He did not drive a truck with 50 tons of logs or wield a chainsaw or tree harvester or drive a potato harvester.
