Fun fact: Of all the festivals I’ve performed at in Sabah, none were organized by locals—they were all by organizers from West Malaysia who approached me. I’ve reached out to local festivals and events, but somehow, they always say they already have their lineup planned and will consider me for future events. Yet, I never hear back from them unless I follow up, only to get the same response again. Many people tell me that if I want to pursue music seriously, I should just move to KL.
