Decided to close my comments section to only people I follow because it seems every time I’ll make an observation about the country I’ve lived in for half my life, I’ll be Japansplained by some other foreigner who has gone “full-Japanese”, by which I mean their attitude is “Fall in line. You’re a guest in this country so you are not entitled to an opinion that is different from the majority.” Interestingly it’s always the other gaijins. Most Japanese people aren’t offended by my opinion.
