In the Netherlands healthcare is not always free. Some things are, but the last years, insurance companies took more and more out of basic healthcare. So then it depends on which healthcare provider and package you have and you have to pay a monthly fee to them for it. I personally pay my insurance 206 euros a month, dental included. Waiting lists are endless. Private is an option if you can afford it.
