My dad forced me to apply to Columbia. I had no interest in going since I was not going to study humanities. I was confused why he was willing to pay so much for me to go to a school that would not be good for me vs. Georgia Tech, a great computer science school where I attend for free. Today, I finally understand. What you study in college doesn’t matter much, but where you go matters SO much more. In America, your brand/connections determine your success - not so much your knowledge.
