So glad you are no longer in that situation. I can’t imagine living like that. I chose to be a stay at home mom when our son was born. There was never “his money”. It was our money. I spent what I wanted, within reason. We discussed large purchases and made the decision together. I have always paid the bills and he has never questioned the bills. Neither of us work any longer, and are living off his retirement and our social security. We will celebrate 47 years next month!
