You know what’s wild. In grade school I remember asking the teacher why it was called the Gulf of Mexico when Mexico is a part of the Americas. If anything this is the most logical decision that could have been made and I don’t understand why it’s taken so long lol

For the last 300 years has been Golfo de Mexico and will remain the same for the next 300 yrs. The fact that 300 million call it Gulf of America is irrelevant, the remaining 7.7 billion people will call it Golfo de Mexico.
