In November 2023, writer @ashleyabrmsn received an email from someone claiming to be a therapist named Sophie Cress. Cress was offering herself up as a source for a future story, saying she was "enthusiastic about exploring potential collaborations, especially in areas of love, relationships, or LGBTQIA+ topics." Abramson clicked over to her website to learn more. What she found there would start her on a months-long journey down a rabbit hole. Graphic Illustration by Timo Lenzen @timolenzen
