Quick question to my fellow artists! When using acrylic, do you seal your paintings? I've only put a finishing spray on my charcoal drawings, but I'm seeing artist use varnish... Which, again, I've used for sculptures, and outdoor paintings... But just regular paintings?... Would y'all recommend? What are your thoughts? ArtistsOnThreads

I use glazes and varnish to protect the painting but also for the visual effect. For example i can use matte/satin/glossy to acheive diffrent effects. Then use a universal spray varnish over any of them to protect it.
