I was attacked outside of a gay bar in East Texas years ago before I met my husband. Someone grabbed me around my neck from behind, threw me onto the concrete, & kicked me repeatedly. It resulted in permanent issues with my left wrist & elbow. You all see the results of that in some of my videos where it appears shaky. It’s because I’m holding the phone in my left hand. Straps provide stability & prevent injury. They allow me to lift what I’m capable of lifting, beyond what my wrist can’t do.
