One day, my "uncle" has to send four unskilled laborers to work on a site a few miles away. This group included my brother and me, another kid who was a few years older, and a guy with a ponytail who seemed way too old for this job. He was probably 25 and the appropriate age and scruffiness. The four of us piled into Ponytail's car, with my brother and me in the back seat. We had known these other two guys for all of 30 minutes and probably never even learned their names. 2/7

I don’t know who did what wrong, but the driver of the other car flipped us off as he drove away. Ponytail was pissed and decided to chase him. While driving very aggressively, he told the kid in the passenger seat to reach into the glove compartment and pull out a sweat sock. (This was 1983, give or take, so picture a white sock designed to reach most of the way to the knee with three bold stripes.) 3/7
