This shit is wild - America as a character is the most "SYMBOLISM!!" character in anything I've ever seen - the child of immigrants founded as a dream of liberty, spends her life fighting againsf authoritarianism and fascism before being killed, but Bennett Beeney is a far more subtle dig at America as a concept - he's comfortable under fascism, he recognises it's bad, but it works for him ao eh.
