Been here 7years with A2/B1 for 5years already.. 😅 but I feel like B2! Just not speaking part. My tips for stay at home introvert mom (like me) is to not skip any ads or post in French. Try to understand them! Maybe the algorithm determines our destiny 😂

Yes. I’m C2 and I’ve been here since Trump’s first term lol. I did another masters here and wrote a thesis, kept up a solid set of French friend groups + professional networks, plus made a point of largely consuming French media. I think when people struggle for what seems like a little too long, they’re usually missing one of those three components.

I’ve been here 20 years. I use French every day but not much at home or work. I have French friends and citizenship. I would say between B2 and C1

C1 here after 6 years. I work daily in french but live with my English wife. You really need to be talking to french every day. Don't worry about mistakes and just try to plough through and it'll improve exponentially

Of course! I have many students who have reached levels B2, C1, and even C2. It’s really possible with the right method!

Been here 25 years (sounds crazy to say it!) and have a French partner, so yes, I'm fluent in French and maybe even speak it better than my mother tongue now... I don't use my mother tongue very often, and mostly passively (reading or watching videos).
