Tomb effigy at St. Canice's Cathedral in Kilkenny, Ireland Honorina Grace died in 1596 but must have ordered this monument at least 20 years before, because the fashion she is wearing is 20-50 years outdated. Maybe she ordered it before the birth of her first child just in case she would not survive childbirth. The tomb is carved from the unusual dark limestone found locally, that has lead to Kilkenny being known as the Marble City. History Threads
