How are yall affording $1400+ rent as a single person? This is a serious inquiry. No matter how I crunch my numbers $1400 is a lot to dish out for housing. But for those who are able to manage as a “single” person how is it done?

Tbh High income and decreasing any debt you have. I’m thankful to be able to afford everything alone because i know it’s hard out here for so many ppl.

My partner pays our rent $2200! He makes $28.75/hr and I bring in 2k that barely covers our bills. So I try to work any side job as possible. It’s tough out here in LA

Sacrifices, stay prayed up and know no matter what God will make a way , lastly just keep pushing forward each day to figure how to make a passive income in your sleep and or pick up a profitable hobby.

Truthfully, you need to make min $85k a year alone to live comfortably at $1400/month. $85,000 $4,250 annual pretax to retirement $250/month pretax health insurance $3,000/year $62,000 roughly take home $5,166 to live on. You should ideally have housing, which I would includ renters insurance and utilities in to less than 1/3 = $1,700, which is doable with $1,400 in rent. The problem is, alot of people who are looking at 1,400 in rent to live along make 50k.... because capitalism
