I have a Chinese friend, she’s in 11th grade and wants to move to America and become a citizen one day. Under the current system, it could take 6-10 years for her to to that. A 5 foot Chinese 11th grader who speaks perfect English and is super smart and productive wouldn’t even be able to be naturalized until after college, maybe not even until after marriage. Why do we shoot ourselves in the foot?
