Honestly, I have very mixed feelings about CNY. The chaos/stress from spring cleaning, meal prep, meeting relatives and just the “loudness” of it all is something I appreciate and detest in equal measure. One of the worst things are thinly veiled sarcastic kiasu-embellished remarks that younger people have to swallow in the name of “elderly respect” 🍊
