If educators can look forward to being criticized for explaining a technique using equipment that not everyone has access to, we are at a very dark place in the maker community. Not everyone has access to everything. I don’t have a 3d printer but I enjoy watching tutorials because it is inspiring to see what I might be able to do if I ever decide to get one, or hire someone to print for me, or eventually learn how to use. The way I see it, this is free knowledge and inspiration!
