Called an ambulance for my mum who was showing symptoms of a stroke. We were away in the Cotswolds for the weekend at an Airbnb. The paramedics were amazing. So professional and thorough and kind. Did loads of tests and decided she needed to go for further tests so they took her to the Royal Gloucester hospital which was 45 minutes away. Arrived at 7pm and straight away started having tests done. Waited until 9.30pm for a ct scan. Then had to wait, wait and wait. 1/

4 分鐘內	Chris mac crissiemac	Then in-between this time in the emergency room, 2 people fainted waiting, my mum had nothing to eat so we were lucky that my daughter and son in law were there and went and got some food from the garage. The vending machine was broken. It only had drinks and no food. The plaster room where they plaster the broken bones was in a side room so you could hear all the screams 😱 of manipulating bones to put in a cast (poor loves) but very disturbing for us too! So we waited and waited. 2/
19 小時內	Kat Alison misskat1979	Sounds like my mums experience - magnesium levels were dangerously low and she gets a call from the GP saying to get to A&E asap and a bed will be waiting. Arrives at 4pm, gets her first infusion at 11pm. Moved to a bed at 3am. No food, no drinks offered, not allowed to change in to night clothes or take her boots off. Bed set at an angle where she is slumped down in the bed and when food and drink is offered it is left out of reach…
