No one discusses enough how earth shattering it is when a photographer loses his muse/favorite model/subject. Masahisa Fukase lost his two muses that he would photograph daily (his first and second wife), fell into severe depression, photographed nothing but ravens for 9 years, then died alone in a coma after falling down the stairs of his favorite bar and hitting his head while drunk 😞
