This week, we’ve faced hateful comments (blocked) questioning if I’m here legally since I am Asian. The truth? My family immigrated legally 29 years ago. But to some, I’ll always be “illegal” in their eyes. As a gay interracial couple of 19 years with growing visibility who speak up for equality, we know we strike a nerve.
