The official international media respect the original name of the Chinese New Year, and it would be inappropriate to rename this festival.

I cant believe just a simple wish can spark so many crazy discussions, this was never a problem 20 years ago. I dont think this is inclusive, this is just unnecessary sensitive. You can called whatver you think appropriate to the AUDIENCE that receiving.

And Lunar New Year is an umbrella term for a holiday which celebrate the beginning of a new year based on lunar calendar.
