From my point of view, Chinese didn't wear the traditional costume because last time(I mean like around 10+ years ago) we need to tailor-made it and it is quite expensive. The traditional costume only selling in different sizes in recent decades. So we used to just wear new clothes in red 😁

There's no so called traditional Chinese clothing. Which dynasty we should refer to? Chinese is a race but too many different backgrounds and their own traditions.

I think it’s because in Chinese culture, the focus is more on wearing new clothes to symbolise a fresh start and good luck for the new year. Besides that, it’s more about comfort and personal preference!

I was just walking at the park petang2 tadi.. i saw some chinese jogging on hari raya cny 😱😱😱 i cant do that on hari raya after eating lots of rendang 😂

We just need new clothes (preferably in auspicious colours) we don’t need traditional clothes

I don't wear it for some reasons; it's expensive to custom made one, otherwise looks cheap if it comes from factory, it is also depends on body type. I don't have the ideal curve, so if I'm on it, I will look like vellfire, you know...peti sejuk ...The length of it. If too long, looks like a waitress from a Chinese restaurant, if short, too sexy and not age appropriate. Rather choose top only if needed. But to wear once a year, not worth the storage and money.

Paling takleh bla.. chinese dtg rumah melayu , pakai short, pakai singlet. Aku cam halaaaahh , kau lagi tua dr aku kot.. bukan baru duduk malaysia.. atleast pakai lah tutup sikit. Aku buat open house ada ayah , ada mertua aku.. ada family aku.. ada baca2 sikit…

Cause cheongsam imo is very formal like I'll only wear once a year and it's hard to rewear due to the design. So usually ill opt for clothes that I can wear to work or on a daily basis. Needa save money in this economy man 🥲

Because the cny clothing is not like the baju kurung. Baju kurung u can still wear daily but the traditional cny clothing only wear once a year and u cannot wear the same one next year, my wardrobe is already full of the past many years cny clothes🤣
