Birth control is a vital part of my healthcare, and not in the traditional way. My spouse got a vasectomy years ago; pregnancy isn’t my fear.
But I have a chronic illness that flairs terribly during menstruation. It can take me out for weeks - literally unable to walk. Skipping my period has been life-changing. It’s not a cure, but it’s a vital part of keeping me functional.
I’m terrified about what my life will be like if they succeed in taking away birth control.
