So… Sony Consoles released year: PS1: 1994 (Japan); 1995 (NA and Worldwide) PS2: 2000 PS3: 2006 PS4: 2013 PS5: 2020 PS6: 2027 (rumoured) Each console’s shelf-life is approx. 6 - 7 years, no surprises Sony’s already planning on making a PS6, even though we really don’t need a PS6 atm. While Sony already discontinuing Blu-ray discs, highly likely PS6 will go on full-digital. Idk. I’m ok either way. Gonna wait for more official news from Sony themselves.
