the problem i keep hitting when applying to software engineers jobs is they want a list of projects and link to GitHub to show the work I've done.... sir, I worked for a company for 5 years. I don't have access to ANYTHING I did. and NO I did not come home and work on side projects! are you insane!?

So we need to work on side projects—where no product owners or clients are involved—to truly showcase our problem-solving skills, which often have no room to be fully utilized in a corporate setting.
