Which led to us exchanging IGs! Once it was time for us to board our flights back to Iceland, she sat at her designated seat and so did my friend and I. Raquel was so personable and friendly! She suggested by the time we landed that we all go to dinner one of the days we are in Iceland 😃 Me being the social butterfly that I am, I agree and told her let’s touch base, we had excursions set up, but dinner would be great before we left. She is a local native of Iceland so I was thrilled PT. 2/3

I met someone in a similar way recently. While in LA, I saw a very well dressed man at the Simone Leigh exhibit. His hair was perfectly braided and his shoes matched his bag, etc. I noticed all of the details. Fast forward a few days later and we are on the same flight back to NY. Two weeks later I see him AGAIN but in NJ at a ballet. That’s when I decide to say hello to him because it was absolutely much too random. He also happened to remember me as well!

That’s awesome!!!! Now as an FA and solo traveler too, I love stories like this. I have one from Ireland. I lived in Waterford and travel to Dublin alone. While there met a group of people at a bar/club, then went to another called Howl at the Moon, then ended up in their house! It was like 5am by the time I got back to my hostel. The only name I remember is May… it was a large group of people. Sadly, I lost my notebook and all the contacts. I have pictures somewhere. Best time ever.
