My high school principal at the start of my final year, had me and my mum in his office selecting classes for the year. When it came to art, this is what he said “I mean, let’s be honest. You’re not really that good, I mean for the amount of effort you’re putting in, it’s, you know…. Let’s be honest, you know it, i know it, it’s not really that good. Maaaaybe you might do ok as an illustrator…” I lasted another month at that school and he got the flick a year later.
